This gallery presents microscopic images from MarkPap® slides captured with a cellphone camera using a proprietary universal adapter (in development). Similarity/differences with the images captured with a digital camera can be seen when same specimens are compared (See MarkPap® gallery images). The cellphone camera adapter, when completed, will eliminate the small differences in illumination and focus seen on the cellphone camera images at high microscopic magnification. The red signal, produced by the biomarker identifying abnormal cells, is crucial for locating labeled cells by cellphone camera (cellphone camera images were captured with the help of Dr. Oleg Panashchenko).
